Victoria Lathlin - graduated with a Aboriginal Media Diploma from the First Nations Technical Institute in Mohawk Territory, Ontario. Victoria is a very intelligent young lady,and managed to complete a three year diploma in only two years. Wow!!!

Tiar Wilson - also graduated with a Aboriginal Media Diploma from the First Nations Technical Institute in Mohawk Territory, ON. The FNTI is affiliated with the Humber College of Toronto. Tiar overcame several challenges during her school years. We’re very proud of her commitment and dedication in completing her program. She is now working in the media field in Sault Ste. Marie, ON.

Donna Young - graduated with the Bachelor of Arts from the First Nations University of Canada. Donna is not finished with her education goal and has continued through the spring and summer in the Bachelor of Indian Social Work program.

Tania Beauchamp - graduated with the Aboriginal Self-Government Diploma from the Red River College. Tania is the daughter of Norma Smith and the grand daughter of Harry Smith. Tania’s diploma was a stepping stone into the Bachelor of Arts - Aboriginal Self-Government degree program at the University of Winnipeg. She begins part two of her education plan in September.

Darlene Fontaine - graduated with the Aboriginal Language Specialist diploma from Red River College. Darlene is our first graduate from this program. She is now fully qualified to be a translator in any organization.

Rosaleen Shelley Sinclair - graduated with her International Business Administration Certificate from Red River College. Shelley completed her program in December and was able to convocate in May. Shelley has several “contracts” on the go and is a very busy woman. She plans to return to university some day but for now, she enjoys her busy work schedule.

Erin Funk - graduated with her Bachelor of Nursing from the Brandon University. Erin is presently working in Brandon and wrote: “Thanks for all the support and I could have never done it without the support of my band!!! Thanks for everything and best of luck to everyone!!!”

Crystal Sinclair-Constant - graduated with her Bachelor of Education from Brandon University. Crystal has accepted a teaching position at Joe A. Ross School. During her education years, Crystal has been the recipient of several awards and scholarships.

Ronald Ranville - graduated with his Bachelor of Arts from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, ON. Ronald is continuing with his Bachelor of Social Work and when completed wants to return home and work for our child and family agency.

Miriam Azure - graduated with a Social Development diploma from Assiniboine Community College. She is continuing her education in the First Nations Counselling degree at Brandon University. Once completed, Miriam plans to return home and work for her community.

Blake Constant - graduated with his Heavy/Duty Technician diploma from Assiniboine Community College. Blake wrote: “My ACC experience was undeniably a great experience. The sponsorship from OEA was very much appreciated. The knowledge that I’ve gained, the opportunities that now opened will put me on my way! This course helped me received my MOPIA - which is air conditioning fundamentals. I also received my WHIMIS which in turn allows me to notify, deal with, and report hazardous materials. This two year diploma helped out with entering a job - Cando Contracting Ltd. (train rail, machine operation, general fixer uppers) Cando is one of the top 5 companies to be employed with. Within the next six months, the “word” is Cando can apprentice me (diesel engine and train repairs) and IT’S GONNA BE AWESOME. Many thanks to Marlene Head and the members of Opaskwayak Educational Authority”
