We have chosen a few photographs to represent our school. We would love to show you the smiling faces, but have done all we can to protect the children's identity.
You can click on any photo to enlarge, and of course more photos will be posted soon!
Our library is small, but contains video, research computers and some very attractive displays. Unfortunately, it also has be be used for a "class room" to be used by various Teacher Assistants who are working with special needs children.
The planning of the school can be seen with the circle areas for meeting and thinking, the beautifully painted murals and hallway displays.
Our classrooms are small, but we are providing a good education in Cree and English.
Most of the High School classes are in "houses" behind the school. These trailers are not the best and are one of the reasons for the push to build a new school.
Outdoor Ed., from the 'field house', provides our students with the feeling of being connected to the outdoors as well as teaching valuable skills to maintain outdoor safety in today's modern environment.
Computer use is integrated into most high school courses at various levels. Technology courses are being taught, and we are hoping to achieve a better ratio of students to computer, if we can develop more floor space.
As a contrast, our Home Economics room strives to teach preparation of balanced, good tasting meals. Often new recipes are 'tested' by our students.
A wide variety of other skills are taught in this class, but we are particularly proud of the quilts our students have made.
Watch for more pictures being posted of field trips and graduations!
