Land Based Programs

Land Based Programs at Oscar Lathlin Collegiate
The purpose of the land based courses is to allow students to become acquainted with the many different aspects needed to understand, conserve, co-inhabit, and enjoy the various northern animals, lakes, river systems, and woods that are so readily available to students on a daily basis.Students will have the opportunity to acquire basic wilderness first aid, trapping certificate, snow mobile safety and general maintenance, navigation.  These are only introductory courses and are intended to give the students the needed skills, knowledge and abilities to perform successfully in the land base courses.  1984land based
